Mathew Ryan - Lead Designer / Developer

One of the founding partners of Rival, Matthew has worked in the web industry for 5 years, freelancing and doing contract based design and development.

In 2006, he was awarded with the "Best of Nation for Australia" in the Worldskills competition. Following his success in the nationwide competition, he was required to travel to Japan and compete in the 2007 International Worldskills competition where he received a medallion of excellence for his work, which is a great achievement on such a large worldwide scale.

Matthew has experiences in a variety of different programming languages and design methods, including PHP, ASP.NET, Flash and Coldfusion. Matthew's focus lately has been on Ruby-on-Rails and bringing clients, richer, more fulfilling web experiences.

Justin Volpato - Lead Marketing Specialist

Also one of the founding members of Rival, Justin has been leading the online marketing for Rival's clients since the businesses launch.

Justin studied marketing at Macquarie University and received a Bachelor's of Commerce - Marketing. He is enthusiastic with the growing online market and the number of new ways businesses can promote and sell their product and services.

Justin has been refining methods of increasing online sales and creating strong, powerful brands for Rivals clients. Having a background in marketing, his adaptation of the marketing principles to the online environment has benefitted many.
